The Social Media MBA blog by Karl Long has a great post "Brief History of Advertising, Marketing and
Branding." The video shows the change from a few dominant products (Brand X or Brand Y) to a market
flooded by choice (A to Z). The final line "lets get the people engaged again" leaves me wanting more.
It can go farther. People are not only selecting brands, they want to connect to something greater,
to take part in creating an experience.
